When Shera Obasi moved to Sherman Oaks, she was struck by the phenomenal idea to open a fusion restaurant inspired by her time in Germany as part of a professional soccer team. She hired a talented chef who infused fresh ingredients with dynamic flavor profiles, and approached us if we could help her brand her concept restaurant in the Hills of LA. First and foremost in our minds with the strategy was a forward-leaning aesthetic that could be rolled out across social media and print collateral. There were technical requirements, like the menu needing to be printed in-house daily, as well as ingredients rotating on a weekly basis, that we needed to take into account with our design process. We sought wherever possible to use a saturated, rich color palette, frequently shot with touches of gold leaf and sun motifs as accents.
